Questions from prospective experts

Can I join from outside the United States?

Not yet. MockVise currently onboards experts who are based in the United States and provide services from there. Join the waitlist below and we'll email you when we open to more countries.

How much can I earn?

You set your own rate. Most experts charge $100–$300 for a 60-minute mock interview or coaching session, and $50–$150 for a resume review. You receive 100% of your rate.

Will my employer or candidates know who I am?

No. Your identity is fully protected and sessions are anonymous. Nothing is tied to your current employer, and sessions are never recorded.

How much time does it take?

As little or as much as you want. There are no quotas. Many experts do a few sessions a month around their full-time job.

Can I run sessions alongside my full-time job?

Yes. Most experts do. You choose your own hours, so sessions fit evenings and weekends, and there are no quotas. Sessions are anonymous and never recorded, and nothing is tied to your employer. Check your employment agreement for any outside-work or moonlighting clause, and never share confidential or proprietary information from your employer in a session.

What does MockVise charge experts?

Nothing. You set your rate and you receive 100% of it. MockVise's service fee is added on top and paid by the candidate, so it never comes out of your earnings. There are no signup costs, subscriptions or quotas.

How and when do I get paid?

Earnings are paid out biweekly, every other Friday, to your bank account through Stripe.

What do I need to get started?

Real experience in a hardware design role and the willingness to help. Create a profile, get verified, set your availability, and you're live.
